The McCall City Council received a petition that put this issue on the August, 2009 ballot without community-wide discussion and education prior to placing it on the ballot. So, this informational site was created to attempt to "close that gap" and provide an electronic tool for education and discussion, in addition to its support of the community forum held on July 20, 2009. The direct web address to this blog is now: http://mccalldecision2009.wordpress.com The domain name above was chosen just for simplicity, and was used again and directed to the separate blog for the November elections. The concept is to create a template that can be easily adapted to future forums and elections and overseen by the McCall Decision Steering Committee, co-chaired by the McCall Chamber of Commerce and The Star-News. The Steering Committee is structured to allow for more local organizations to participate in future.
